Most would agree that shoes are an important accessory and an integral part of your overall appearance. And if you thought this was true only for adults, well, think again.

As more and more people are becoming highly fashion and style conscious, the trend is fast catching up with kids too. So if you take an hour to pick up your favourite shoes in the store, get ready to spend almost the same time when you go shopping with your children too.

Today kids, especially girls, like to choose their own shoes. They love certain brands and prefer wearing different pairs for different occasions – be it for going to school everyday, or while out for outdoor activities, or birthday parties or any other evening function. Taking a cue from their mothers, girls naturally go for both quality and design while selecting their shoes, and that’s where come in the Lelli Kelly shoes that excel in both these departments.

Launched back in the early 1990s, this brand had made its way to the top most names in the arena of girls’ shoes. That’s because these shoes have been created after an exhaustive study of girls’ environment, comfort and preferences.

From school shoes to canvas shoes, from heel fashion boots to ballets and sandals, the choices are a plenty in this brand. Lelli Kelly have everything – sequins, beads, gems, lovely colours and designs to die for.

The distinctive factor about these shoes is that they come up with a washable canvas exterior which improves the strength of these shoes. A lot of tests are done before these shoes find themselves on the shelves of the shoe stores in the market.

The USP of these shoes is that they are capable of soaking up foot perspiration of the wearer. And how does this happen? In the insole of these shoes under the leather layer, there is soft latex foam which absorbs wetness and turns this into gel. The resultant moisture is discharged through holes in the outsole all through the day and evaporates completely when you remove the shoes, making them good breathing shoes.

Thanks to this feature, these shoes remain comfortable even after you wear them for long hours during the day. What’s more, these shoes are easily within your budget and so, going to the market and splurging on your favourite footwear would never hurt.

Considerable measurement girls shoes or perhaps boots used to be exceptionally difficult to acquire. Lots of adult females would have to locate specialized merchants and simply wait for requests with regard to their particular volume. Having said that, Much larger legs will be no longer thought of as disproportionate as they were in the past. Online Shoe Shopping For Parents

Teenagers…  We all know what they are like, don’t we?  Their friends have all got the latest pair of ‘this month’s most desirable trainers’ so they must have them as well.  It is a tedious situation for many parents, but you will just have to blame it on society.  Besides, you can’t really blame a teenager for wanting to fit in with his mates, can you?  So, instead of avoiding the situation, it is often better to face it head on.  A brief amount of pain in the wallet/purse department can spare you an awful lot of earache. However, if you walk around some of the cool new footwear stores in the town centre then you may just be in danger of having a heart attack.  A lot of the time they seem to take enormous pleasure from putting a totally unrealistic price tag on many of their men’s and  women’s shoes.  Just because they have a designer name, many of these shops seem to think they should be sold with a designer price.  These stores have caused great financial discomfort for many a parent over the years.  So, is there anywhere that sells this kind of footwear for a realistic amount of money?  After all, not all teenagers have parents with a money tree growing in their back garden! Well, yes there is a cheaper outlet; the internet is a brilliant place for anyone to do their shopping.  And if you are looking for a new pair of  designer shoes, then you have a very good chance of finding them for a much lower price on the net than you will in any high street footwear outlet.  And this is a very useful piece of information for the parent of any teenager… The great news is that there are plenty of online footwear suppliers who stock all of the same designer brands.  In fact, you may just find that they have an even larger selection than those ‘ultra-hip shops’ in town.  The only difference you are likely to find is going to be the price.  Internet-based companies are well known for under-cutting offline businesses and footwear outlets are a very good example.  Many of these trendy high street set-ups get away with their steep prices because so many people do not realise they can be bought for less online.  However, as time goes on this is probably going to change… One last piece of advice; whilst you are busy finding the latest pair of branded trainers for your little angel, why not treat yourself as well?  These online stores do not only stock designer items for teenagers; they will usually have a great range of men’s or women’s shoes to choose from.  After all, it’s you who has been suffering from the, ‘Mum, please can I have them?’ for days on end.  And you can be sure that all those promises of them doing extra lots of washing up will soon wear off when their mates call round.

Heels: The height of fashion: What is a perfectly put together outfit without a mind blowing pair of high heels? Nothing less than mediocre you might say? Marilyn Monroe famously said “I don’t know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot.” If you’ve ever asked yourself any/all of these questions then this article is for you:”Do you really like them? I couldn’t really afford them, but I had to have them” Or “If I bought these shoes, my collection would be complete” Or “Did someone say ‘shoe sale’ Then this lens is for you you and you!!The architecture, design and consideration that goes into a pair of high heels is a pretty tall order (pun intended) For instance if you look at Block Pump Hi by United Nude – WOW available at Kindred Sole. The fact that the designer of this style is a professionally trained architect shines through in the bold silhouette of the design. And if colour is your thing than you are bound to impress with the ‘Flo Red’ patent leather of this little beauty! The biggie for me with this particular pair of shoes is that they are based on a traditional silhouette, strip them down to its fundamentals and it is your much loved classic court shoe. What makes it shine out in todays shoe world? The fact that it has been modified, extended, adapted with the architecturally inspired heel and BANG you have something that really does pop. Whatever angle you view it at – just like a building (its muse) you see something different and very angular. You may be thinking ‘Well yeh, it looks good but is it going to be wearable, functional and importantly will I be able to walk in it?!’ The chunky, solid heel makes it practical sturdy and dare I say it very wearable. Its not age discriminative (my 50 year old mum owns a pair) great with jeans, skinnies, flares, any type of denim you’ve got it works and with a LBD it truly is Very Happy! So you may have got the impression that I am kinda sweet on this shoe?! Yes indeed I am but my love of high heels/ shoes/ boots/ shuboots/ flat shoes/ platforms/ kitten heels/ wedges/ sandals (need I go on?) is never exclusive to one pair! That would just be very narrow minded wouldn’t it!? I want to explore every shoe possibility and not judge any particular shoe until I’ve walked a few steps in each of them!

Footwear is clearly what defines a person, and should be given more heed to than even clothes, since they need to be constantly polished, kept spot free, aired, to ensure their long life. Following are some tips on how to maximize the life of your favourite shoes.

The complete personality of anybody is not complete without great shoes or footwear, and to maintain them, requires proper care in terms of how they are kept, polished, and so forth. Following are a few handy tips to make sure you take proper care of an important angle of your overall personality.

* Always make sure you store shoes properly in shoe organizers. These could be racks, or trees, wherein shoes are kept/hung pair by pair so as to reduce any chances of the dirty soles of one soiling the upper side of another. Besides, such a practice also helps you to keep them in a very clean and proper state by giving them proper air.

* Another advantage of using organizers is that shoes are always easily accessible, and you can know as to which shoe is not in a proper condition to be worn and needs to be replaced, or stained and needs to be polished. Further, this also helps in making sure that in case due to some infection one pair of shoes is smelling, the smell does not pass on to the other shoes.

* Always ensure that you air your shoes once a month, or better still, every fortnight. This is done by leaving them out for a couple of hours in the sun to make sure that any chance of infection is eliminated, and also helps shoes with special material like suede, etc. in staying in a good condition.

* In case of leather shoes, make sure that they are polished once in every 4-5 days, regardless of whether they are used that often or not, since this helps in keeping the shoe material in a good condition, and also allows it to hold on longer.

* In case of shoes with alternative material like suede or nu buck leather, make sure they get sufficient air, and spray them with the recommended spray from the a good dealer or the shop from where you purchased it. These kind of shoes have a greater tendency to get spoil due to the sheer nature of their material.

* Make sure that you always use shoe horns to put on your shoes. Often, it is only the backside of the shoe that gets damaged, purely because of our inherent habit of stuffing our foot whenever we are in a hurry. Keep the shoe horn handy, maybe in the shoe racks for example, and you might save your shoes a good year and a half.

Picking The Right Size Shoe When Buying Online

Buying shoes online can often be a nightmare, especially when every brand has different size ratios and width fittings. In order to make the most of your online shopping spree do a little foot research so that you know exactly what you are looking for.

Before venturing online you should make sure you know the European or UK size you require, the maximum heel height you can wear and the width fitting. Also the styles you can and cant wear, not everyone can wear a 6″ wedge boot, being pre-armed with these few snippits of information will make your life a lot easier.

A good web site will always display its shoe sizes using one standard format, typically in European or UK. There should also be a size conversion option on the site so that you can work out the size applies to you. Many online company’s fail to carry further fit information which is crucial more so with a ladies shoe than with a mans. The best footwear retailers online now carry details such as, heel height, platform height, width fittings as well as other details such as the materials used to construct the shoe.

If you have very specific questions about a shoe, email the web site support team and ask them for further details, all reputable companies will gladly measure the insole length and the exact width fitting for you as well as other bits and pieces you may wish to know. Ladies should also be aware that although they may be a size 6.5 UK , for example by having longer toe nails they may need a slightly larger shoe size. A classic example of this is the ever popular sheepskin boot where you are advised not to wear tights or stockings so that you feel the benefit of the fleece. By failing to take into account slightly longer toe nails you risk wearing the toes out of these boots.

Further to the above it is essential to look at the stretch opportunity of the shoes, some unique shoes just will not stretch whilst others will always have a little give in them, leather shoes are often the best for giving a little more room for manoeuvre and can often be stretched slightly if needed.

Getting the right heel can make a big difference to your fit too. A slim heel will give less balance so may become uncomfortable after prolonged wear, likewise a large wooden platform can look nice but may cause your foot to slip forward due to less grip, we suggest a inner gel pad or something similar. The soles should also be a big consideration when buying party shoes, leather soles do not protect you from the impact of the hard walking surfaces on the street but resin soles will, only you know what you need.

A good pair of shoes will have stability at the rear, some flexibility in the mid-part and should allow the toes full freedom to move or grip. A good fit will help keep your feet healthy and in turn will prolong the life of your sparkly shoes.

Women’S Shoes – Why They Are Never Enough?

Karunakar asked:

All talks on equality between men and women come to a halt when it comes to women’s shoes. There seems to be some sort of intrinsic magnetic attraction between a woman and shoes. Perhaps it’s the reason why most women find an irresistible urge to buy that enticing pair of shoes in the display window without considering the price, consequences or outfit she’ll wear with them. The urge to buy fashionable shoes is so strong in women, that many don’t even care if they need the shoes or not and whether they are in their budget. They simply find ultimate solace in buying the most fashionable and trendiest pair of shoes in town!

‘I see a pair of shoes I adore, and it doesn’t matter if they have them in my size. I buy them anyway,’ Hollywood actress Keira Knightley once said.

Introduction on womens shoes

Women’s shoes have progressed form being merely practical and protective coverings for the feet to creative and artistic interpretations of fashions, cultures and styles. A woman’s shoes also denote the class she belongs to, her attitude, her mood for the day and in a very subtle manner, they convey sexual messages to members of the opposite sex.

With so much emphasis on shoes and such an intense bond between a woman and her heels, it’s only expected that no shop is passed without being scanned or any websites are left without being trawled by most women, with a similar and unspoken aim of buying the most fashionable and perfect pair of shoes or high heels possible.

How women’s shoes fashion/style has changed over the years:

The first shoes ever made have been dated back to about 40,000 years ago according to historians. Of course we can safely assume they didn’t look anything like the heels you saw on the high street last week, but they were shoes none the less. 40 000 years ago, shoes were merely a means of protection for the foot and were completely practical. By the middle Ages, the look and the feel of the shoes improved (according to our perception of what good shoes look like) and they were made with more care and designed to fit the foot more comfortably. Technological advancements of the 20th century led to the development of better shoes in general and more aesthetic women’s shoes, in particular. A mix of cultures and a global trend of sharing styles and designs began which led to the onset of shoe fashion and the shoe industry.

A significant reason for the change in style of women’s shoes over the years is the gradual transformation in the purpose of wearing shoes. Changes in the social, cultural and economic milieu of the society and civilization has led to the steady change in the purpose of being well-shod from just protection, to functionality and practicality, to mix of style and sensibility, to style statement, sex appeal and simply shock value as depicted in celebrity women’s shoes today.

Types of women shoes:

There is a huge variety of tremendously beautiful women’s shoes in today. Of all the types of women’s shoes, high heel shoes can righteously be called the most stylish, sensational and popular type of womens shoes. With a heel height ranging from 2 inches to a whopping 8 inches, high heel shoes are considered the ultimate in sex appeal when it comes to women’s shoes. Owing to the popularity of high heels, shoe designers have created various types of heels such as dagger-like stiletto heels, wedge heels, stacked heels and low heels, kitten heel shoes etc. The other popular types of women’s shoes include sandals, mules, ankle boots, the fetish thigh-high boots, backless mules, athletic style sneaker boots, ankle-strap shoes, pumps etc.

The types of women’s shoes can also be categorized according to the purpose of the shoes. For example you can buy smarter, dress shoes for a party, more sturdy and stable work shoes, dance shoes, platform shoes, boots, unisex athletic shoes, comfortable orthopedic shoes and slippers for those cold winter mornings.

Why women love to buy shoes?

Women’s shoes have lot of sexual connotations. When they buy a new pair of shoes, women secretly desire to catch the attention of the opposite sex or at least look better than the girl standing next to her (although few will admit it). Since variety is the spice of life, a great way to keep the guys at your finger tips is to make sure you head out in show stopping, flamboyant heels every time you leave the house.

Unlike clothes, women can buy any shoes that their heart desires without being left feeling overweight, too skinny, ugly, etc. Shoes don’t give women a complex like some fashions do. They’ll never make you feel tall or short either. A beautiful pair of shoes is always likely to compliment a woman. Moreover, the right pair of women’s shoes has the capability of making her feel sexy, elegant and gorgeous.

With the constant changes in society and the general evolution of social rights,

Women have taken a far more authoritative, opinionated and equal stance than they used to. With status and equity, women have a new found power that pushes them to be different, to be the best they can be. Because of this, they want shoes that fit best with any and every type of outfit, occasion and event that they attend. Further, they do not at all wish to look mundane by wearing the same shoes every time and rather want their shoes to represent their attitude and power.

Begin Tennis By Selecting Shoes

Kadence Buchanan asked:

People have come to use the term “tennis shoes” a little bit more broadly in order to categorize under this name different types of comfortable athletic type of shoes, also referred to as “sneakers” or “trainers.” Everyone needs a pair of athletic shoes to exercise or perform different tasks, from cleaning the lawn to walking the dog around the park. However, due to the extensive variety of styles and models, knowing which athletic types of shoes best fit your current needs is rather intriguing. Shelves full of colors and designs do not provide only a huge selection of sports shoes for the prospective buyer to choose from, but can sometimes be the cause of a major headache. Thus, it is imperative for you to know which types of athletic shoes can help your feet feel comfortable while playing tennis, or exercising in general, even if you have never considered yourself to be an athletic type of person.

According to experts, sports footwear is now in the midst of the most rapid changes in the history of athletics. As new markets emerge and athletes need more support and comfort, consumer groups have been further categorized leading business executives working in the athletic footwear industry to rely constantly on research results. At the same time, most of the consumers, unaware of the different features each pair of athletic shoes has, are getting more and more confused just by viewing or listening to the companies’ advertisements and the salespeople “briefly” describing their store’s extensive sports shoes assortments. In this constantly changing environment, it seems difficult even to memorize the type of shoe one needs, much less the different elements each brand carries.

But there is no need for you to despair. Even if you do not plan to use them for any type of outdoor athletic activity, you should be familiar with the main sports footwear categories that you will come across when visiting a shoe store. Apart from running, any type of gym-related fitness activity like aerobics, for example, can be easily performed when one wears running-shoes, or any type of sneakers that provide support and cushioning. If you want to avoid slipping and falling while playing baseball, perhaps it is best to consider purchasing a pair of shoes that provides good traction; running-shoes or cross-trainers can suit you needs. Basketball needs you to jump to throw the ball, run and tackle. These movements can be easily performed when your feet are protected by specially designed shoes for this type of running and jumping game. American football and soccer need cleats, as anything else might cause injures not only to your feet, but also to your head. Hiking activities can be best pursued with a pair of hiking boots, which provide excellent ankle support and traction without making it difficult for you to lift your feet from the ground while crossing the forest. Finally, returning to the original question, tennis shoes are best for tennis. Many people decide to play tennis and wear other types of shoes, but not all shoes provide the needed support for the side to side movements performed when playing tennis or any other racquet sport. Thus, be careful of your final selection.

Concluding, if you need to purchase a pair of athletic shoes just to complete your casual appearance when outdoors, any type of the shoes described above can cover your walking around needs. But experts recommend you to select buying a pair of walking or canvas shoes, as these will allow your feet to breathe normally and will not increase your feet’s precipitation levels. Tennis shoes are recommended, but last, after the running, basketball and cross-trainers types.

Next Generation Tennis Shoes

Jonathon Hardcastle asked:

When you were a kid you had at least two pair of shoes. One pair was your “good” one your mother referred to as your “dress shoes,” while the other pair was your “everyday” shoes, most probably of athletic nature. These shoes, specially designed for sporting activities, were given the generic name “athletic shoes,” which is still considered a category that consists of running, basketball and tennis footwear.

Originally introduced as part of the sporting apparel, athletic shoes are now worn as part of a casual look. Going for a walk, running across the shore, or playing outdoor games, are examples of the instances that people of all ages select to wear them. But how did all begin and why do more and more different types of athletic shoes being produced?

It is much more than the supply and demand curve, but it all comes down to that. Modern sneakers have beginnings in various sports shoes. One ancestor is the expensive British upper-class footwear of the late 1800s, used for lawn tennis, cricket, croquet, and at the beach. While at the turn of the twentieth century, football and baseball players wore essentially the same shoe type as before, the leather high-topped lace-ups with leather soles and cleats, the need to have footwear that provided a good grip onto the ground was the reason why a variety of lightweight shoes were introduced.

Special shoes that would allow runners to move and lead to positive results, like increasing their speed and thus, their competitiveness, were ordered. Thus, as the need for greater speed increased, so did the athletic shoes’ number and styles. By refining and improving the shoes’ traction, sportswear companies created a subcategory in sports apparel; the shoemaking industry that is now worth billions. The sneakers’ demand emerged as athletes drew spectators to games and scientists invented new ways to accelerate human limits and improve athletes’ scores.

The dictionary defines the athletic shoe or sneaker as “a sports shoe usually made of canvas and having soft rubber soles; also called tennis shoe.” As today, uppers can be of leather, nylon, canvas, plastic, or combinations of these, and the shoe bottom surface has come to include any type of natural or synthetic rubber soles, tennis shoes are not equivalent to any other type of athletic shoe types. Sure, the term “tennis shoes” has become a generic term for athletic shoes, but this should not give the wrong impression to people that all sports shoes are the same or that one should wear them interchangeably regardless of the game/sport played.

Running shoes on a tennis court, for example, are a sprained or broken ankle waiting to happen. Running shoes are built with a thick, soft heel to maximize cushioning for straight-forward, heel-to-toe foot impacts. Playing tennis is all about sudden starts and stops, as well as moving quickly from side to side. The trouble is that, during extreme stopping, cornering, and pivoting, if the sneaker’s outsole is too rigid, the tennis player loses contact with the playing surface, which results in a loss of footing.

In addition, since runners do not usually move sharply sideways, while “on the run,” the running shoe sole is totally unsuitable for the sideways movements a tennis player makes.

From Keds, which were the first tennis shoes in 1917, to today’s extraordinary designs and expensive advertising budgets, shoemakers continue to design shoes with an eye towards accommodating various types and shapes of feet. When one adds to this equation, the trendy variety of styles, the outcome speaks for itself. There is always an option available for our feet will feel comfortable while playing a friendly match of tennis.
