Teenagers… We all know what they are like, don’t we? Their friends have all got the latest pair of ‘this month’s most desirable trainers’ so they must have them as well. It is a tedious situation for many parents, but you will just have to blame it on society. Besides, you can’t really blame a teenager for wanting to fit in with his mates, can you? So, instead of avoiding the situation, it is often better to face it head on. A brief amount of pain in the wallet/purse department can spare you an awful lot of earache. However, if you walk around some of the cool new footwear stores in the town centre then you may just be in danger of having a heart attack. A lot of the time they seem to take enormous pleasure from putting a totally unrealistic price tag on many of their men’s and women’s shoes. Just because they have a designer name, many of these shops seem to think they should be sold with a designer price. These stores have caused great financial discomfort for many a parent over the years. So, is there anywhere that sells this kind of footwear for a realistic amount of money? After all, not all teenagers have parents with a money tree growing in their back garden! Well, yes there is a cheaper outlet; the internet is a brilliant place for anyone to do their shopping. And if you are looking for a new pair of designer shoes, then you have a very good chance of finding them for a much lower price on the net than you will in any high street footwear outlet. And this is a very useful piece of information for the parent of any teenager… The great news is that there are plenty of online footwear suppliers who stock all of the same designer brands. In fact, you may just find that they have an even larger selection than those ‘ultra-hip shops’ in town. The only difference you are likely to find is going to be the price. Internet-based companies are well known for under-cutting offline businesses and footwear outlets are a very good example. Many of these trendy high street set-ups get away with their steep prices because so many people do not realise they can be bought for less online. However, as time goes on this is probably going to change… One last piece of advice; whilst you are busy finding the latest pair of branded trainers for your little angel, why not treat yourself as well? These online stores do not only stock designer items for teenagers; they will usually have a great range of men’s or women’s shoes to choose from. After all, it’s you who has been suffering from the, ‘Mum, please can I have them?’ for days on end. And you can be sure that all those promises of them doing extra lots of washing up will soon wear off when their mates call round.
